From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the entire evening was professional and amazing. We had a five-course menu that also included a small appetiser. The presentation and the service is certainly in keeping with the fact this is a 2-star Michelin restaurant. Even the pralines after dessert were a rare and unique treat with a wonderful and intriguing mix of tastes and ingredients. With a lot of local and seasonal ingredients there was tremendous variety over the courses, from beef tartar to seeteufel fish and mushrooms in leek cream to chicken breast with grilled vegetables, potato gratin and parsley purée with a dessert medley focussing on the in-season strawberries. The commitment to how it looked as well as the taste is the best I've experienced in Europe. With a wine list in the hundreds, you'll find something to your taste. Prices start from about €40 and the sky is the limit, with some bottles over €1,500. It's not cheap, but if you love food and decadence, The Residenz cannot be faulted. It is simply superb.
