We were struggling to find a good, authentic Chinese restaurant and were recommended Yangs . Husband and wife team have so much pride in their restaurant and gave a warm and welcoming start to the evening. Food delicious and freshly cooked. Timing to table and between service very good. Generous portions and good price. Restaurant clean and nicely decorated A definite for food lovers. Can accommodate large parties, family or couples comfortably. Definitely revisiting. No problem parking near by

The environment here is clean and hygienic, the service is good, and the boss Cantonese also speaks Mandarin. The food is delicious and not expensive!

    5/5Outstanding

Had a hankering for lettuce wraps so came on trip advisor to see which Chinese restaurants they recommend. Yang's came out top, looked at their menu and it's extensive. Ordered my lettuce wraps, mix veg chow mein, chips and curry sauce for a takeaway. Was ready within 20minutes. Wraps were excellent. One thing I would say it needs crispy noodles to top the mix to give it that extra texture. Chow mein was a bit bland, but mixed with the curry sauce it was lush. Chips were good too. Friendly staff too. Overall I would definitely go back, maybe try eat in next time, if not it will definitely be a takeaway.

    4/5Excellent

Having been unimpressed with my first try of Yangs I decided to give it another go as I'm always on the look out for another higher quality Chinese restaurant in Cardiff. I'm not saying this place is bad, because it's not (hence 4/5), but I left this time pretty much as I did before - you pay a higher price (similar to Happy Gathering or Riverside Cantonese) expecting top notch food and once again it was a case of hit and miss in equal measures. The crispy shredded beef was good as were the (pork) lettuce rolls but the wun tuns tasted as though they weren't properly cooked and the sea spiced beef was pretty ordinary. The smoked corn chicken wasn't amazing but it was ok and at least it was good to find something a little different from the norm. I wouldn't put you off going here but I'd need some persuading to return myself, being two strikes down in my book.
