We have been to Danbini three times now and have been impressed every time for the past six months. Food is innovative but approachable and the flavor is always bright, enlightening and delicious. On all three occasions, our servers were very knowledgeable, unpretentious and helped guide us to many outstanding dishes. The menu of regional, seasonal foods often changes (we ate twice in 2 weeks and 80% of the dishes were new), so it is difficult to recommend any particular dish. But any wood baked in the fireplace is always striking: Completely competitive Dabney's any top-tier restaurant in New York, Mitsubishi area cuisine, or we've eaten anywhere else in the world.

Visited in the UK and wanted to include eating here. We booked at 9pm but they managed to make our table in front of it, which was great, it was fun and the dishes they produced in relatively small numbers of large teams looking at the kitchen work. Service was good, atmosphere was lively and not overpowering. Food was done, some combinations worked well (we especially liked the combination of scallops and broccoli) others were not as successful as the pairing, but each dish had a taste and texture.

Surprisingly a very popular restaurant, kitchen and other staff influences my evenings with relative stress free and leisurely filling low country, but not dominant (no grind!) food reflects it. I was happy with just a bite of pork and lobster. The small and medium plates encourage gregariousness also helps manager Alex and our knowledgeable and kind waiter, Liz. Simple wine list thoughtfully. Deserved Michellin recognition.

My boyfriend and I came here with the help of a family member recommended by a chef in New York. The food was amazing and our waiter/service was fantastic. They kept us out and even thought the yard was closing. Our waitress made our date night particularly enjoyable. Pumpkin and beet salad were our favorites! Highly recommended.
