During our days in Berlin, we chose this place to celebrate a little birthday dinner for my girlfriend. The outside was beautiful, simple but neat, with medieval design (can read the menu stories of this place), and not much table. It was beautiful inside, really beautiful is the ceiling. The food was good and rich, she had red cabbage barbecue, I had Berlin sausage, two different beers... it was very good beer... and apple pancakes, cream and ice cream... very good. It was a great dinner to celebrate this special day in Berlin!

The atmosphere was great. We were going there for my husband’s birthday on Friday but it was fully booked. We wanted to go there especially because there was a good wine list and there were lots of German wines (they made it themselves). But we were able to go in on Thursday night. It was a great experience with good service and friendly staff. The food was excellent especially white asparagus soup, fried liver and fried pork chops. The food was large in size so if your appetite didn’t match this, you might miss the appetizer. Highly recommended

Zur Gerichtslaube, the old restaurant in the city hall, the lights are relatively dim, it is like returning to the glory of the Austro-Hungarian Empire at that time, the steak is delicious.
