Parque Lage public park is located in the Corcovado district of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Though the park is relatively small in size, it provides a welcome break from the hectic pace of life in the city. The property of the park was originally owned by Enrique Lage, an industrialist who had build a mansion on the grounds to impress his Italian wife. The mansion has now been converted into a school for visual arts. There is also a cafe on the premises of the park. Entrance to the park is free. Visitors can picnic on the lawns, play with their kids in a nearby playground or take a stroll under the tall trees which are over hundred year old.
