"Qianmatai Mingyue Temple is located in the northwest corner of Qianmatai Village, Qianmatai Township, on the earth platform of the Qianmatai site. It was built in the Tang Dynasty (642-712), destroyed in the Five Dynasties, rebuilt in the Song Dynasty, destroyed in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, rebuilt in Qianjia, and destroyed in the Cultural Revolution. Over a thousand years, three constructions and three wastes. From the Five Dynasties to the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the Mingyue Temple was destroyed many times, leaving only the remains of a thousand-year-old ancient cypress and the "Mingyue Temple Stone Stele". Regarding the origin of the name "Qianmatai", it is said to be related to Yang Liulang's resistance to Liao and Baoguo. In the Song Dynasty, Baigou River was the dividing line between Song and Liao. Yang Liulang was ordered to guard the border and resist the invasion of Liao soldiers. In 1992, the People's Government of Rongcheng County applied to the District Administrative Office to repair and open Mingyue Temple. Mr. Tang Yu introduced funds to rebuild the Daxiong Hall, which was completed in 1996. At present, many buildings in the temple are still being renovated and not fully completed. Mr. Zhao Puchu wrote the four-character "Daxiong Hall" in the handwriting of the Great Hall. The transportation here is inconvenient, so it can only be reached by car or bicycle."
