Another beautiful medieval gate
While in Rotherburg we visited all of the old city gates including Markusturm and Buttelhaus. Worth visiting for the photo opportunities.
Built around 1200
St. Mark's Tower & Röderbogenis another beautiful medieval gate in the beautiful medieval town of Rotherburg. Thery were built around 1200 and it was a small customs house from 1264 - for 500.
What a gorgeous old city
They both have that peculiar Middle Ages flair, so many similar towers, yet all different. You can even see the storch nest from below.
