Ruijin is located in the southern stretch of the Wuyi Mountains. It has a long history, including Han era tombs and ancient kilns and Ming and Qing dynasty architecture. Ruijin is famous domestically and abroad as a former “red” capital. The Communist Party Central Committee was based here during the Chinese Soviet period and the temporary government of the Chinese Soviet Republic (also known as the “Jiangxi Soviet”) was formed here. This was also the starting point of the 5,600-mile Long March. Today, it is a national base of patriotism and education in the revolutionary tradition and an important “red tourism” destination in China.
Red Well is located in Ruijin Shazhouba. Ruijin people repaired the well to welcome Central Southern Old Base Consolation Group and named it as "Red Well". At the same time, a wooden sign was placed beside the well, with the words "Do not forget the well digger when drinking water. Always miss Chairman Mao." to show the Shazhouba people's gratitude for Chairman Maopeople. They later changed the wooden sign to a stone tablet. It is a national cultural relics protection unit.
Ruijin is the capital of the Soviet Republic of China, which is the world-renowned starting point for the Red Army's Long March. Ruijin Prc Cradle Scenic Area includes Yeping, Hongjing and the Chinese Soviet Memorial Park (South Park and North Park), where is the one of the classic red tourism destinations in China and also acts as a national demonstration base for patriotic education.
The Former Yeping Revolutionary Site, located in a suburb of Ruijin, is one of the more important places in revolutionary history. It's also the birthplace of the Chinese Soviet Provisional Central Government. Tourists here will have a chance to visit various places with historical significance to the revolution. The former site also features a large number of cultural exhibits to provide people with a greater understanding of this period of communist history. It's a great place for any young person to obtain a patriotic education. The location covers a large area, including Warship Square at its entrance. Most of the buildings are concentrated on the eastern side. Most of the structures here were razed at one point by KMT forces, but they were rebuilt after the liberation.
Luohanyan Scenic Spot has a strange scenery, where the mountains and rivers are interdependent, the turquoise waters are clear like mirrors, and the mountains are mostly cliffs and strange shapes. In the spring and summer seasons, there are mountain flowers that are covered with mountains and plains. After the rain, the rainbow will be reflected in the sparkling lake, so the beauty is really refreshing.
