Yunmen Temple is called the Yunmen Mountain Dajue Zen Temple. It is the birthplace of Yunmen Sect, one of the five branches of Zen Buddhism in China. The Yunmen Buddhism School created during this period is also a Buddhist research resort in Shaoguan. The temple was built around 923 AD and was built by the Wen Yan Master of Yunmen Sect. Due to its long history and symbolic significance, it has become one of the country's major temples.
