One of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the jewel of the Ottoman Empire—Safranbolu Travel Guide
In the northern region of Turkey, a shining civilization is left behind, which is a historical city from the Ottoman Empire period—Safranbolu. Most of the buildings in the ancient city have a history of four to five hundred years, covering an area of about 1000 square kilometers, with an altitude of 485 meters. Experiencing the slow life and historical culture of the Ottoman Empire here, I think should be the ideal destination for a trip to Turkey.
The old town area of the ancient city is called Carsi Street. The first thing that catches the eye is the century-old blacksmith shop, with various exquisitely carved ironware reflecting the Ottoman Empire's reliance on iron. Among them, the Turkish coffee pot is particularly shiny. The Arabs introduced coffee to Turkey, and Turkey offered coffee to Europe, which led to the coffee that is now popular around the world. This iron shop also has a hidden attraction next to it, an underground cave, where you can hear the majestic sound of water flow.
This location is very important because the WC for when nature calls is right across the street, but be prepared with 5 lira in change. Yes, most of the WCs in Turkey require a payment of 5 lira, except for some highway rest stops and convenience stores.
Just three feet above is a century-old mosque that stands firm. I just passed through this mosque, and the stairs in front lead down to the blacksmith shop!
Walking forward after seeing the ancient city walls on another street, you can taste the uniquely Turkish coffee and saffron tea (saffron), for only 20 lira. I felt the traditional coffee or saffron tea from the Ottoman Empire because the saffron planted on the mountains, and Safranbolu got its name from this. With some luck, you can also see the local people's chess and card entertainment like I did, provided that you open the door of the shop and enter.
Traveling here, I think it is very worthwhile to stay for one night! The Ottoman Empire's ancient architectural homestays are not only clean and quiet but also breathable and warm. The wooden structure, with many windows, is bright and ventilated. The scenery is charming, especially at sunset, when the sunlight shines through the windows onto my face. Of course 😁 the traditional Ottoman cuisine that cannot be missed!
Warm tips: There is no elevator here, do not let the homestay staff take your luggage, they will ask for a tip The highest floor is also the third floor, and room numbers starting with 1 are also on the second floor.
#carsi# is a commercial area of Crocus City, where guests staying in saffron are basically around this area, so the carsi neighbourhood is particularly lively.
Many of the featured products here are cheaper and more affordable than the big cities. The locals are also very simple. There is not much business savvy. Buying crafts here can pick slowly, and the locals are very kind.
The street is very quiet and tidy at night. The store will close at about 6 o'clock in the morning. Apple products such as apple tea can be bought here. You can hear the prayer when you are on time.

Safranbolu, ottoman old town in Turkey
Safranbolu is a town in the Black Sea region of northern Turkey, once a stop on the trade route between Europe and the Orient. Its Ottoman architecture includes the old Çarşı district, with hundreds of preserved, red-roofed Ottoman houses on cobblestone streets. Cinci Han is a 17th-century caravansary with rooftop views over town. Nearby, Tarihi Cinci Hamam is a restored 17th-century bathhouse, still in operation.#2023travelwish #mytripvlog #tripblazers #beachlife #本地遊 #foodie #urbanexplorer #celebratewithtrip #nationalpark #turkey #istanbul #wintergetaway #europe

Bulak Cave Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
A beautiful cave in Safranbolu
Bulak cave is one of the best attracrion near Safranbolu. A beautiful cave, very good road until cave. They said the cave is 6Km long, but one that is open and arranged for tourists is only 400 meters deep. It is an Incredibly amazing cave! It's a bit cold inside but you can enjoy the unbelievable shapes of stones like art work! One must live this experience of breathing the cave air and feeling the gravity of the mass surrounding you. If you have enough source and will and not scared or have phobia with cave, you should consider join the extended cave tour of 4 km deep! It is located Only 10 kms from safranbolu and costs 10 TL entry fee (1.30 USD) 🔦🕯⚒ #roadtrip #urbanexplorer #summervacation #beautifulcave

Saat Kulesi Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
The landmark clock tower is a typical late Gothic building in the historic center of the old town. It is about 52 meters high and is a small landmark in this lazy and leisurely town. The clock tower overlooks the other in its tall and straight posture. Each tower. The shape is exquisite and colorful, the scenery is spectacular, the clock tower is built higher and the structure is more complicated, and finally forms such a form;
