St. John Stone Anglican Church has long story behind. It looked old but modern inside. At the time of visit, the church was closed and thus we could not view the nice stained glass windows thereat.

We discovered this beautiful stone church when we took a wrong turn and happened to drive by it. It's quite stunning and unusual - beautiful architecture.
This was the first stone church to be built in the city and it survived the fire which destroyed much of St John. It looks old from the outside, but the inside has been updated for modern day use.
The outside of the church is stunning, but the inside is nothing special, so no problem if it is locked. But do read the plaque outside the church....quite interesting.
