On the way back to the ferry after a European touring holiday, wife &amp; I always chat about our eating experiences, and when we&#39;re heading for Cherbourg, the best of the holiday is usually Le Ferme du Boucanier in St Suliac. Our last trip was no exception, we&#39;ve eaten there a few times, and they&#39;ve never disappointed, not perfect, the service can be offhand and sometimes leaves a little to be desired, but never the food, which is exceptionally good. Last time I had lobster which was perfection on a plate, and a Gewurztraminer dessert which was even better, there must have been half a bottle in there. The best food we&#39;ve found in northern France, not cheap but worth saving up for, we&#39;ll be back!&quot;
