Ok. I have lived in San Diego all of my life and have also lived just next to OB Dog Beach. I always have Dog Beach as my go-to place for my plethora of dogs. Mind you it's super stinky when you get out of your car (the dogs can't wait to pee on the wall as soon as you let them out) and it's not always clean (sometimes they run out of poop bags. Most of the time people are super lazy in cleaning up after their pets). But once you get near the water it is heaven for your pooch. I will warn you that you have to keep a really good eye on them. Some dogs just want to fight. It has the eccentric vibe of OB with it's hippiness. I love to walk the entire shore and so do my dogs. P.S. tourists...don't bring your lunch or picnic here. Just not a great idea for a place with a million dogs.
The coastline of foreigners is really beautiful, the people are very few, there are many dogs here, is a dog lover some place, many people come here to visit with their dogs, the beach is also very good scenery, like the sunset here.
I love dogs but I don't have dogs and I think it's much more fun to see dogs in dog beach than in dog park, the owners of dogs didn't mind us playing with dogs on Frisbee, the dogs will bite us back on their own, it was a very fun place!
Love this beach bay, beach, means being able to take dogs up, dogs are active, biting each other, running around, picking up balls, etc., but I just go to see other people's dogs.
Big stretch of beach where dogs can roam without a leash. Fun for families and pets!
Not only fun to watch the dogs run around, great place to find seashells on the sea shore.
Our dogs love going to this off-leash doggie beach! I like to take them up the channel, parallel to the jetty, because it's less congested than at the main part of the beach, and there are no waves crashing down on them (the dogs are great swimmers, but on the small side.) There are lots of open spaces to run and swim and play, and most folks (and their pups) help foster a great pet community. When visiting, please remember to clean up after your pet, and make sure they are on-leash from the parking lot to the sand. This area is not fenced, FYI.
Always a good time at the dog beach! Everyone is friendly and it's always clean. Our pup has a great time when we do!
Great place to hang out with all family members (dogs are family too).
