The Japanese Friendship Garden San Diego. Many cities in the United States have Japanese parks. These Japanese parks are a bit similar. They are also messengers to spread Japanese culture, increase Americans’ understanding of Japan, and enhance the friendship between the two countries. The Japanese parks are not big, but they all have distinctive Japanese characteristics and are all exquisite. The San Diego Japan Friendship Park is in the Balboa park in San Diego. San Diego and Yokohama, Japan are sister cities, so this park has become a symbol of friendship between the two cities. This is somewhat different from Seattle, which has the oldest Japanese park in the United States. (The Japanese Garden in Seattle was built by local Japanese people actively raising funds.) In 1999, the famous Japanese architect Takeo Uesugi completed the design of Friendship Park, but it was not until 2015 that all his architectural ideas were implemented. Uesugi's design concept completely follows the principle of returning to the original: curved bridge water, stone lanterns, Japanese maple trees, pine trees, azalea flowers, tea houses, etc. Walking into the park, I immediately sigh the Japanese people's ingenuity and love for nature.

[Scenery] Japanese Friendship Garden is really a great park, the pictures are very beautiful, Chinese style! [Fun] It’s a great feeling to hang out for an afternoon!
This garden was built in Balboa Park in memory of San Diego and Yokohama being sister cities. We go every year when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. It is so beautiful to see the full bloom of cherry blossoms. The Friendship Garden is open to San Diego residents for free on the third Tuesday of every month.
Unexpectedly, on the other side of the ocean, there is such an authentic Japanese garden. Although it is not big, the scenery inside is still good. It was built to commemorate the sister cities of San Diego and Yokohama, Japan. Commemorative significance, there is also a Japanese tea house at the entrance
You can stay here for a few hours. Cherish the time! This place is beautiful. We were lucky enough to catch some butterflies floating in the bushes, which made the mood very good. Here are some nice places to stop and enjoy the view. You will take a lot of photos here, so make sure you have available storage space.
