Today I went to Queen Califia’s Magical Circle Garden sculpture park in Escondido next to San Diego to see the works of French artist Niki de Saint Phalle. This is her largest collection location in the United States. The park is named after Califia and is surrounded by a circular snake-like wall. The entrance is like a maze, full of mystery. Niki uses a variety of mosaic materials to gather and display in her works. Here, Niki personally selects dozens of varieties of glass, with different shapes, colors, tones, transparency and reflectivity. It was also the first time that she used different kinds of polished stones, such as limestone, agate, quartz, turquoise, etc. According to different light and wind, the garden is constantly changing, the effect is quite magical.
The sculpture park is also free of charge than a scenic area. There are many types of sculptures, all of which are works by some local artists. I like the environment very much. The whole structure is quite good. The interior of the park is also very large. area.
There are so many sculptures, and every sculpture here has a story. The few in my picture are that during the Hundred Years' War in the 14th century, the British army was about to capture the French city of Calais. Calais was besieged by the British for nearly two years, and the lives of citizens were at stake. After negotiations between the two parties, King Edward III put forward cruel conditions: Calais must select six noble citizens to be executed, and stipulate that these six people must be bald, barefoot, and lock their necks when they leave the city, and hold the key to the city gate. Only in your hands can you protect the city. This is a historical tragedy that the French people will never remember.
All kinds of sculptures, all kinds of new things, very regular and meaningful, good sculptures, good layout, I feel full of praise
