We first went to Osteria several years ago while visiting the Bay Area. We returned recently and found it just as excellent as before. The Tortellini della Casa is prepared with the restaurant&rsquo;s rich and savory meat sauce and is absolutely delicious (be sure save some of the bread basket for the last bits of sauce!). The Insalata della Casa, served with an herb vinaigrette, is especially flavorful. Our friend ordered the Fondo di Carciofo con Gamberetti (an antipasto dish of artichoke stuffed with tiny shrimp) and loved it. The minestrone soup was filled with fresh veggies and was a hearty accompaniment. Osteria offers a warm, lovely setting for delectable Italian cuisine.

Their Grilled Cheese Sandwich actually made my friend eat very happy, it is also a more elegant American restaurant, every dish is also very careful to cook and set.

Come to this special restaurant, meditate products, currently very fresh ingredients are very sufficient, so he made the level, color and fragrance, greatly welcomed by diners.

We were here for dinner before going to an event. My friend had been here once before with her son. They found the restaurant when he was searching for a place to eat that served gluten free meals. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. It is casual with a simple table and chairs setup as well as a sit-at counter. My friend ordered the Chipotle Chicken and Vegetable soup and liked it. I ordered the Grilled Yellowtail topped with pineapple salsa along with black beans and rice which we shared. The fish was excellent. My only complaint was that we both ordered tea and most restaurants will offer to refill your hot water so you can make a second cup, but not here. The prices of the food and most drinks are very reasonable but coffee, tea, and soda are on the expensive.

If you like tasty fresh foods, to eat in or take away then you have to stop by Beautifull. Try the ginger ale, its tangy and refreshing accompaniment to the fabulous range of tasty foods.

We wanted to eat in SF last Saturday night, but didn&#39;t want to deal with the pre Super Bowl street closures. I found Osteria by chance and was surprised to find such a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. We started with a glass of Sexual Chocolate...a full bodied, smooth red wine. The shrimp over artichokes were delicate with a dressing that brought it all together. The bib salad was simple but delicious. My. Husband had the pasta with meatballs. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the meatballs were light, not dense, and so flavorful. I had the veal Milanese and it was tender and just the way I like it. I did have to ask for more lemon wedges. My dessert was amazing...chocolate custard that was light and had a flan like sauce. My husband ordered the cheesecake which he totally enjoyed. Our friends started with the minestrone soup that they loved and the veal piccata and the pasta and meatballs.

We recently tried this Pacific Heights gem and were glad we did. Osteria was buzzing with excitement when we walked in and we can see why. The food and service was great. We shared a delicious Caesar salad and fettucine with veal meatballs. While the Italian menu is limited, there are plenty of good choices and there is a very good wine list. We would come again.
