So, so, so disappointing Xiao Long Bao were too doughey and hardly contained any soup. Rest of the food was passable. Maybe a bad day!?
Green onion pancakes, Shanghai wonton soup, shrimp dumplings were amazing. The XLB was NOT good. It tasted instant - don't get it.
Get the Hong Zhou Crab Xiao Long Bao. They taste just like the ones I had in Shanghai.
Steamy windows mean love.
Shanghai's famous soup dumplings, are king at this Outer Richmond dive. Priced at $5.95 for 10, they feature thin, delicate wrappers, steamed just enough to hold the liquid.
Get the Shanghai Dumplings, crab and shrimp along with the beef one. You will not regret it! Also try the Egg sugar puff, its one of the 100 things to try before you die.
So. Many. Dumplings. They even have a few vegetarian options! Scallion pancake is fantastic too.
Best XLB's I've had in SF. Large portions with lots of flavor and delicious broth.
Probably better to go outside normal dinner hours... We went last night when it was really busy and like half our dumplings didn't have soup! It wasn't our fault either, we were very careful!
One word. Amazing. Cash only so make sure you bring enough. Get the #5 for soup dumplings! Out of this world. Long beans were amazing and the Shanghai Dumplings should not be missed!
