After arriving in New York, I learned some things
🌃 New York is not just Manhattan
New York has 5 boroughs, and Manhattan is just one of them. In Flushing, Queens, you don't need to speak English, Chinese is more prevalent; Brooklyn is the birthplace of hip-hop; and once you leave Manhattan, it feels like you're in another world. Try to avoid the Bronx if you can
🛫️ New York has 3 airports, don't get them mixed up
Flights to and from New York domestically mostly use John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK); United Airlines' domestic flights to New York mainly land at Newark Airport (EWR); and LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is primarily for domestic flights within the US and is closer to Manhattan
🚗 In the US, it's tough to get around without a car, except in New York
New York has a 24-hour subway system and extensive bus routes, and taxis and Uber are also very convenient, unlike other American cities where driving is a must. However, New York's subway is indeed synonymous with being dirty and disorganized
🚽 In New York, restrooms are not readily available everywhere
If you come across a restroom in a mall or museum, don't miss it, go right away, otherwise, it's hard to find one. There are very few restrooms in subway stations
🎭 Watching a Broadway show doesn't have to be expensive
Buying tickets online in advance isn't always cheaper, and it might be more cost-effective to buy same-day tickets at the door, especially if you have a student ID
👟 In New York, please wear comfortable shoes
citywalk is the best way to discover New York, the distance between famous landmarks on Manhattan Island is neither too close nor too far, you really need a pair of comfortable shoes for the tens of thousands of steps you'll take in a day
🌃 The view of the Empire State Building is better from Rockefeller Center, but you should still visit the Empire State Building
Being in it may not give you the full view of the Empire State Building, but going to the top is more about sentiment and desire. Many believe that at the Empire State Building, you can encounter love, or reunite!
☕️ The kind of coffee shop in 'Friends' really exists
An unfamiliar environment can make one feel lonely, but at certain moments, it can remind you of scenes from American TV shows, which feels warm even though you've never met. But in New York, it's more about feeling lonely, getting used to loneliness, and enjoying loneliness
🏛️ Please reserve at least one day for museums
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Natural History Museum, MoMA, and other museums are worth spending more time to experience art
🤹♂️ The NPCs on the streets of New York all cost money
'Movie characters' and 'cartoon figures' coming over to take photos with you will charge you, don't be deceived by the false 'enthusiasm'. The CDs and lucky strings that street guys hand you are not free either
The location is very good to find, the organization is very careful, follow the guidance on the 2nd floor, 80th floor, 86th floor, the scenery is so beautiful. The night view of Manhattan is really beautiful. You can take pictures casually and enjoy it quietly. The building for nearly 100 years is very great and the souvenirs are exquisite.
It is worth seeing that the Empire State Building (Empire State Building), a high-rise building completed on April 11, 1931, is one of the landmark buildings in New York City. It is located between 350 Fifth Avenue, West 33rd Street and West 34th Street in Manhattan. The Empire State Building is the longest skyscraper in the world (41 years). It is 381 meters high and 102 floors in total. After adding a 62-meter antenna in 1951, the total height is 443.7 meters. The building was designed by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon Architecture and is an art deco style building. Surprised at the speed of construction in the United States in the 1930s. Up high to see the real scene of New York.
Bought ticket online and everything is so smooth to the top. Stunning view and really enjoyed it.
Very convenient, go downstairs to the child want to go up and see, buy the ticket now, immediately issue the ticket, especially convenient, save the trouble of long queues to buy tickets, you can go to the 80th floor, 86th floor and 102nd floor. The 80th floor has glass, and the 86th floor lighting is particularly beautiful. The 102nd floor did not go because of something
Ctrip is very convenient to buy tickets and the scenery is not bad. During the day, I didn't queue up. It is said that I have to queue up to see the night view.
Up to the top of the Empire State Building, you can overlook the entire Manhattan City. The time we went was the golden lights of the city under night. I personally felt that it was worth going to New York. There are many viewing spots. If you have time to go to one place, I recommend this.
