nice restaurant, very traditional
With an open wide view on the south east side of Santorini, this amazing restaurant is run by a family (father, mother, daughter and son; mum and daughter's boyfriend are the chefs). Everything starts with home made warm bread (they get the stuff from a bakery and cook bread at the moment for you) served with two dips; then you can order different traditional dishes (both vegetarian and meat): we tried different ones and we have to say they were all excellent; very good beers, most of all Alfa beer. Prices are lower than in other restaurants of the island, especially for what you get: great view, no crowd, traditional and tasty food. Absolutely recommended!
We ended up there by coincidence as we couldn't find Metaxi Mas (we went there 3 days later) and at first impression we weren't even sure it's a restaurant and whether they'd be serving us (group of 8). What we didn't know at the time, we were in for a major treat. As we sat down, our expectations were low, almost to the point of regret. But with every moment of interaction with the waitress (appeared to be owner) we were elevated towards food heaven. Every meal was perfect in both, presentation and taste. It was clear that the chef wanted to make a statement with every dish. From all the restaurants in Santorini (we visited about 10), this one would be the one for me to visit the Island again.
