This is the Iyah Sunset Terrace at the northwest end of the Holy island. It is the ruins of a Byzantine castle, on which is the best place to watch the sunset. Every day there is a spectacular sunset show, where crowded tourists almost collapse the walls of the ruins. Visitors will be much less in the morning. This is a good place to look at the Iya windmill. Looking down, you can see the charming harbour of Iya. So anytime, this Byzantine ruin is a good place to take photos.
Back to the square, facing the Aegean Sea, left to go to the Blue-top Church, right to the bottom is the best place to watch the sunset.
