What people are saying:

The Sapporo City Education and Cultural Center is a cultural facility that has been affectionately referred to as "education" by Sapporo citizens since its establishment in 1977. Here, you can enjoy art in many fields such as music, dance, drama, opera, and classical literature. The green brick building was designed by the well-known Hokkaido architect Yoshiya Takami. The Cultural Center will be adjacent to the Sapporo City Archives (former Sapporo Court of Appeals). Located on the west side of the main entrance of the former Sapporo Court of Appeals, the pine trees planted when the Crown Prince visited Sapporo in the 11th year of Taisho (1922) are preserved. Every summer to autumn, the theater festival "Education Drama Festival" participated by local and foreign art troupes in Hokkaido and the "Sapporo Opera Festival" that can be enjoyed with children are held here.
