Tulsa, the second largest city in central Oklahoma, with a population of about 400,000, was originally an Indian settlement and a large oil field was discovered in the early twentieth century and is now the main center of the national oil industry. There are large refineries, oil production equipment factories and more than 800 oil-related companies and institutions. It is known as the "world oil capital". The city has the only one of the top 100 American universities in Oklahoma, the University of Tulsa (University of Tulsa). Tulsa city center is small, in addition to the modern commercial center high-rise buildings, there are also standard cathedrals, museums, art centers and so on in the United States. Tulsa Airport is still an international airport, although it is small. 11th Street, through downtown Tulsa, is a section of the famous Route 66 in American history with special signs.

If you ever want to learn about native, American, and European art and live styles this is the place to learn. There are wonderful exhibits to see. it is well worth the small admission fee.
