Captain Blacks

This is a small diner but cozy and a good meal. Had the hash, eggs and pancakes. The food was fast, tasty and experience uneventful. I would frequent there again.

So I went to have lunch there a couple of days ago with my boyfriend and my brother. I ordered some rice that was supposed to come with pineapple, soy chicken, and veggies, among other things. I ended up with a huge mountain of rice, barely any pineapple, like 2 cashews and 2 broccolis. Also, the soy chicken tasted so awful i couldn&#39;t eat it whatsoever. It felt like eating canned dog food. And I paid $12 for it. OMG, I had had thai food near University of Washington a few days before that for much less, and it was really delicious. Anyways, I&#39;ve been to restaurants where i didn&#39;t like the food before, and i have to say that this is the first time i write a negative review in my life. The real reason I felt encouraged to write this, was because the girl who served us, stole from us. We paid with cash, I believe the total was like $43. The thing is that we paid like $48 including tip (we are not americans, and we just found out that you&#39;re expected to tip 15-20% of what consumed, not 10%) and she took the money and came back two minutes later telling us that we hadn&#39;t given her enough, that there was money missing to complete the $43 we were supposed to pay. I told her that we had given her $48 and she denied it. I counted the money before giving it to her so I&#39;m sure we handed her $48. Anyways, it sucked as an experience overall, and I definitely wouldn&#39;t recommend going to this place not only because of what happened to us, but also because the food was expensive and pretty awful.

Traveling to Seattle, I went with friends to Kedan Makan, a Malaysian-style restaurant that is said to be particularly difficult to order. He said that his family is difficult to book because there is no online reservation. If you want to eat in the store, you can only queue up early every day to write your name on the waitlist and wait for the store to call or text message, and the waitlist will no longer receive customers on the same day after the full staff, proud. We arrived a little late, but luck burst to grab the last position of the waitlist. However, the waiting time for us to enter the store is still a bit long, and it is expected to take 3 to 4 hours to get to us. We didn&#39;t want to wait here for a few hours, so we took advantage of this gap to stroll around for 3 and a half hours and found that it was finally our turn. The store is actually quite small, but because of this, the taste of the meal and the dining environment give people a very homely and warm feeling. There are not many types of menus, but it can be seen that they are more authentic Malaysian home-cooked dishes and snacks, such as Roti Jala (lace coli cakes shaped like net pancakes), Nasi Goreng char si (bbq pork fried rice), Bubur Hitam (warm black rice pudding with coconut milk) and so on. If you want to come to this store to experience it, you still have to queue up early that day.

If you want to eat dessert in Seattle, you must pull the grass at this dessert shop in Pie Bar. This cake is a specialty. I bought a grape-flavored cream cake, which is very delicious.

Food is excellent. Great service. Recommend happy hour visit. This place needs to add chicken wings. Swear that will all but ensure people do not leave rhe place. :) We loved Linda&rsquo;s Tavern.... in fact we went twice because we loved it so much. The beer was great, the staff were friendly and the juke box was pretty good. Coupled with that, they&rsquo;ve got some arcade games which kept me entertained for a while. Definitely worth a visit if you&rsquo;re in Capitol Hill.
