I live up just north of Seattle towards Shoreline, WA where there is abundant pho restaurants up and down highway 99. I have visited nearly every pho house in this neighborhood from Seattle to Lynnwood, WA and by far the pho broth excels at this little location in the ID. I always order the special beef pho, and my wife orders a dish with pork chops and egg. The price is affordable and it is worth the drive down to the ID! The restaurant is small so make sure you arrive early on a weekend morning for lunch, ~ 10:30 -11 am. Otherwise, expect to wait in line.
While no foodie experts, we tried this place on a recommendation from a local. Nearly all patrons were Vietnamese and ordered without menus, even thought their menu is extremely large and varied! The Pork Chop Broken Rice plate, Spicy Lemon Grass Chicken Bun and Pho were all excellent! Place was packed and the line was extremely long. It is in the International District next to another well known restaurant and an Asian market. Not the best location and parking is terrible (but free). Still worth the wait for good food and quick service.
Found this place by accident. We were in Vietnam last month and were craving Bun Cha. It was amazingly good. Grilled pork, lots of veggies and the perfect flavor. My friend had the pho and loved it. Good price. Ambience a bit tacky ( wall paper meant to look like red bricks) but we enjoyed the food. Don't come here for the setting but if like real Vietnamese food you won't be disappointed.
