What people are saying:

One of the best places in the city to take advantage of Seattle's many bodies of water and unique opportunities for urban hiking is Foster Island, connected via trails to Marsh Island, East Montlake Park and Washington Park Arboretum. It's awesome to find a place so secluded from the rest of the city. From the shores you can see the neighborhoods to the south and some of the University buildings to the north. But most of all I love how much water there is to see, populated mostly by picturesque sailboats and kayakers. There are a lot of great places to take a hike in Seattle, but this is one of my favorite spots to enjoy the city's unique bodies of water.

    Pretty but Noisy

Planes roar overhead; traffic rumbles on the 520 bridge; and music blares from boats. Though the Foster Island Walk pleases visually, I find it hard to ignore the noise. When I take a walk through nat...

The walk through the island was gorgeous. I love all the water and the lily pads were just amazing. I would go again.
