Barcas Plaza Espana Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Nice place
This plaza is easily located as it is very close to the marina and the ferry port with the tram track being within easy reach.
There are several monuments here with the most distinctive being the memorial to the 39 residents of the island who fought and died on Franco's side in the Civil War in the 1930s. Controversial or not it is hard to miss the memorial and with it's location on the seafront it makes a good meeting place and a good starting point when exploring the city.
The plaza is located very near the main shopping streets and there are several bars and restaurants when the sight seeing gets too much or you want a spell of people watching!

This time I invited a handsome Korean Ouba photographer in Seville. Although the language is unreasonable, we have always used body language and smile to communicate. Photographed the purple sunset of the Guadalquivir River, and the Plaza de Espaa, which was not surrounded by tourists in the morning. Look at the bits and pieces of the journey, let the autumn of inscribed in a beautiful memory

Seville Alcazar Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Impressions of Seville
I heard that European countries would close their attractions, shops, and restaurants early on Christmas Eve to go home and celebrate. I planned to arrive in Seville on the 24th and go to the Spanish Square after checking in. It was just at sunset, with no tickets and time restrictions, which seemed like a perfect arrangement. Today is Christmas, all attractions are completely closed. This time in Seville, I have to leave some regrets. The palace and the cathedral are closed, and the plan to visit the great navigator Columbus can only be postponed. I can only wander around the streets, look at the exterior of the attractions and the street view, which also feels quite beautiful. The picture limit in the text is used up, a solid 20, and it seems not enough.
Seville, the capital of Andalusia, has a long history. I once heard an Arab proverb: If you haven't been to Seville, you can't be considered well-traveled. The city, which has been built for more than 2000 years, has experienced the rule of six civilizations, leaving countless architectural treasures. Seville is a very special city, where the Romans, Arabs, Islam, and Christianity have all left some buildings. Seville is quite inclusive. In 1248, after Christianity defeated the Muslims and recaptured Seville, they directly used the mosque as a church until 1402. Then they rebuilt the church on the old site. After 100 years of hard construction, Seville Cathedral became the largest church in the world. Although the church is defined as Gothic, it still retains the original Islamic architectural features, such as the Giralda, which was transformed from the original mosque's minaret, and is now the symbol of Seville. The great navigator Columbus is buried here.
The Royal Palace of Seville is a huge and beautiful palace. It's a bit regrettable that it can't be visited because of the holiday. Some people even say it can be compared to heaven.
There is also a Golden Tower by the river, which is also one of the iconic buildings of Seville, Salvador Square, St. Jorge Castle, Santa Cruz Street, and the old bullring. There is an old bridge on the river - Isabel II Bridge. In short, the city layout and planning are very wonderful, the streets are clean and tidy, and it's pleasing to the eye no matter how you look at it.
In addition to architecture, the origins of bullfighting and flamenco are related to Seville. There are many stories circulating here, which provide material for musicians. Musicians Mozart and Rossini have created 'The Marriage of Figaro', 'Carmen', 'Don Juan', and 'The Barber of Seville' based on the material of Seville.
I didn't expect to encounter the Christmas holiday break. According to Chinese customs, holidays should be more welcoming to tourists. It still applies the old Arab proverb 'If you haven't been to Seville, you can't be considered well-traveled'. I thought my arrangement was perfect, but I still fell into the pit. Hehe🤭, the itinerary and hotel for the next part have been confirmed, so I have to give up and continue the next itinerary. Use the photos in the text to promote Seville. Maybe there will be a chance to come again in the future.

Royal Palace
The Real Alcazar is situated near the Seville Cathedral and the General Archive of the Indies in one of Andalusia's most emblematic areas.
The palace is known for its tile decoration. The two tiles used are majolica and arista tiles.
The Courtyard of Maidens was entirely paved in marble with fountains in the center, rooms are arranged around a long rectangle pool.
The ambassador hall ceiling is a delight to watch, the circular panel is filled with small colorful polygons yarrange in a geometrical pattern that radiates outward from the star-like shape in the centre.
The palace garden had the aesthetic function of bringing pleasure to the residents and visitors.
The Alcazar was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.

A Unique yet Breathtaking Spanish Structure!
Location: Seville city, Spain.
Getting there: Fly from most major European cities or take the train from Madrid or Malaga.
Metropol Parasol
Seville hosts the world’s largest wooden structure: Metropol Parasol, also known as Las Setas. It's an amazing piece of modern architecture in the center of the city.
I recommend paying the small entry fee to climb the stairs to the top. From the top you can look closely at the design and get panoramic views of Seville city.

The future is here and it's in Seville 🇪🇸
Can you imagine that this whole structure is made entirely out of wood? Cool and sustainable - my kind of jam ✌️
The shape of Plaza de España is a semi-circle, surrounded by a row of buildings that today are, for the most part, used as government institutions. There are two tall towers on the flanks of the square. Of note are the 52 benches and mosaics of tiles located at the foot of the building on the Spanish square. These 52 frescos depict all 52 Spanish provinces.
The mushrooms of Metropol Parazol are not only a wooden construction that covers the square, but on top of the parasols, there is a special walkway and a terrace with beautiful panorama (" "}El Mirador" "}). Metropol Parasol also offers an archaeological museum (Antiquarium, see below), shops, several bars and restaurants. A stroll across the Metropol Parasol is certainly worthwhile during your Seville city trip.

Mushrooms of Seville
Metropol Parasol is also known as The Mushroom, the wooden structure is designed by a German architect Jurgen Mayer and completed in April 2011. Its dimensions are 150 by 70 meters, and an approximate height of 26 meters, it is 850 meters 10 minutes away from Seville Cathedral.
There is a tapas restaurant and space for events inside the central parasol. Under the parasols is an elevated, shady square to host events of different characters. At ground level is the Market, along with the commercial and catering spaces. The basement is the Antiquarium Museum, and the top level a lookout point, panoramic view covers most of the area like Hermandad del Valle and some of the restaurants. And also a place for visitors to relax, gather and etc.

Seville Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Seville is probably one of the most beautiful cities in Andalusia. You should plan to spend at least 4 days there.
So here are some tips if you don't know this beautiful city yet. Of course you will have to visit the must-see places, such as the Casa de Pilatos, a beautiful palace that I advise you to visit at the end of the day before sunset because the light is amazing at this time of the day. You will also visit the Royal Alcazar, a palace with Moorish architecture. But first of all, book your ticket in advance to avoid wasting too much time. Count 2 to 3 hours for the visit of the rooms as well as a stroll in its superb gardens. Some scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed here.
The other iconic place in Seville is the Plaza de Espana. It's best to get there early in the morning to avoid the crowds which can be very large.
Seville is also the perfect city to take great pictures. #awesomepic #unforgettableexperiences #couplestrip #instagramworthydestinations #movielocations #seville

Seville's various attractions are open after 10 o'clock. Only Pilate's official residence opens at 9 o'clock. The official residence is not big. It takes about 30 minutes to turn around because the opening time is relatively early. After reading this place, it is just another place.
Pilate's official residence, the residence of the Duque de Medinaceli, after entering the gate, is a square atrium with a small fountain
in addition to the exquisite carving process, the courtyard The walls of the room are decorated with beautiful tiles and ornate panels with criss-cross patterns
Pilate's man-made tiles belonging to Isabella style, including flowers, geometric patterns, and decorated with Castilian The triple castle coat of arms, Leon's lion coat of arms
bureau has two gardens, one large and one small, the large garden has a square symmetrical structure, the shrubs are also neatly symmetrical, the large garden is enclosed and cannot enter

Seville, the most famous of the flamenco dance is here.
Although you can see a variety of Gothic architecture every day, but the style is different, all kinds of shapes, the film is particularly enjoyable.
Spain moved the subway to the road. Its name is a car. When there is no car, pedestrians can walk freely.
Every afternoon in the streets, you can see the Spanish who have already got off work, drinking small wine and eating snacks. This kind of life is too comfortable!
