The Pingyao Ancient City is one of the most well-preserved ancient cities in China and a world cultural heritage site. It used to be China's financial center in the late Qing Dynasty. Yungang Grottoes Scenic Area is divided into a landscape zone and the grottoes. It is one of the three largest grottoes in China. The sculpture combines Chinese and Western art. Here you can experience the artistic charms of Northern Wei Dynasty. Yungang Grottoes not only embodies traditional Chinese art style but also integrates art styles of ethnic groups from ancient India, countries west of China and China's central plains. It is a famous historical site in Datong City.
The Hukou Waterfall is a famous waterfall on the Yellow River. The roiling water of the Yellow River roars downward here with great power. The Hukou Waterfall area is divided by the Yellow River. On the west side is Yichuan County, Shaanxi, and on the east side is Ji County, Shanxi. The waterfall is also divided into the Hukou Waterfall (the part of the falls in Shaanxi) and the Shanxi Hukou Waterfall (the part of the falls in Shanxi). Separate tickets are sold for each area. The Shanxi section of the Hukou Waterfall is located 45 kilometers west of the seat of Ji County in Linfen City, Shanxi.
Qiao Family Courtyard, also known as “Central Courtyard”, is located in the middle of Qiaojiabao Village, Jixian County. It was the residence of Qiao Zhiyang, a famous commercial and financial capitalist, during the Qing Dynasty. It was also the filming location of more than 30 film and television works, such as “Qiao Family Courtyard” and “Raise The Red Lantern”. If you have seen these movies, then you must be familiar with the scenes here: rows of high-hanging red lanterns, high brick walls, exquisite carvings, beautiful arched cornices and deep lanes, this is the famous Qiao Family Courtyard. In addition, there are three treasures in the Qiao Family Courtyard: the Ten Thousand Balls, the Rhinoceros Moon Mirror and the Kowloon Light, that are also worth a look.
