Although there is a mature community under Furong Mountain and a mine park has been built, the locals may be keen to go to the forest park on the other side of the Beijiang River. Even if they come over during holidays, there are not many tourists. There is a shortcut up the hill next to the museum, and no one is seen along the way, but the graves are a bit embarrassing. The ancient temple of Rongshan is at a high point of Furong Mountain. It takes about 15 minutes to walk up. It is quiet but not dilapidated. There should be many devotees who come to worship during Buddhist days. The monks cleaned the temple very cleanly, and the yellow walls and gray tiles were particularly eye-catching among the green hills. Furong Mountain is mostly covered by woods, and the platform in front of the temple is one of the few places where you can overlook the urban landscape.
Furong Ancient Temple (Shaoguan)-Of course the Furong Temple is called Furong Temple! It seems that there is no ancient place except for the temple gate, most of which are modern reconstructions. However, the quiet and tranquil atmosphere is comparable to any famous ancient temple, and the tourists are rare and clean and pleasant. Unexpectedly, outside the temple is the only place on the mountain where you can overlook a little bit of city scenery. Not bad!
