One of the largest and best equipped convention centers I have seen. Dubai standards!
Home to a number of nice restaurants. A good place for meetings. Gate Village is an upscale oasis that houses a few excellent local galleries as well as high end restaurants -- most serving international food.

The Dubai World Trade Center is an excellent multi-functional venue. It is conveniently located next to the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) and has its own dedicated subway station. The center will host a variety of amazing activities throughout the year, including trade shows, concerts, and comedy performances. In summer, the large sports center is also open to the public, providing various sports equipment and venues. There are restaurants and hotels next to the venue, as well as rental apartments.
