Shengseng's Temple is located in Yang Village, the western suburb of Huicheng. It was built in the Tang Dynasty. The monk of the Tang Dynasty was known as the sage monk Huiming, hence the name. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the incense was flourishing, and there were larger buildings. The existing nunnery covers an area of 276.36 square meters and consists of courtyards, halls, and sutra halls. Sitting south facing north, it is 9.4 meters wide and 29.4 meters deep. On the wall of the main hall, the painter Huang Zhu from the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty painted the ink-and-wash Guanyin, the figure of eighteen arhats, and the map of Cuibai.
The nunnery is surrounded by lush forests and bamboos, and the environment is quiet. There are murals painted by the painter Huang Zhu of She County during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty on the walls of the nunnery. The murals are painted on the walls of the main hall and Liangyu. It is worth seeing.
I've been there once, okay. Okay.
Absolutely good place, the feeling of being raised in the deep mountains, thousand-year old trees, thousand-year colored sculptures, the last time I saw such colored statues of Buddha in Jinan Lingyan Temple in 2000, the ancient craftsmanship is so good, it is probably lost now. Compared with the golden Buddha statue, it is more primitive and has a quieter Buddhist feeling.
The mural is located in the main hall of Shengseng's Temple. It was made by the Wanli painter Huang Zhu of the Ming Dynasty. There are 4 ink paintings in total. The first one is the "Side Guanyin Picture", located on the back wall of the main hall, 3.52 meters wide and 3.7 meters high. It was made in the Wanli Ding Chou Year (1577). The second picture is "Nine Arhats floating in the sea", and the third picture is "Nine Arhats on Five Platforms". The former is located on the left mountain wall of the main hall and the latter is located on the right mountain wall. Both are 4.9 meters wide and 2.2 high. Rice, made in the Wanli Guimao Year (1603). The fourth picture is "Cuibai Tu", located on the left side of the back entrance, 1.8 meters high and 2.5 meters wide, it is dripping with ink and has various brushwork.
The whole temple is not big, but inside is unexpectedly exquisite, especially the Luohan statues are carved vividly. The tour process will not be too long. Compared with the price of tickets, the price/performance ratio is not too high, but overall it is quite good~ ~
A worthwhile trip! deep impression. I hope that the managers can further maintain and protect our cultural relics (personally feel that more effective improvement and protection measures are needed to prevent weathering).
