The Splendid China Folk Village in Shenzhen is often considered the world's largest and most comprehensive miniature park, reproducing nearly 100 famous tourist attractions in China and 25 full-scale ethnic villages. I spent an entire day there, from sunrise to sunset, learning about the 5,000+ years of Chinese history and appreciating stunning architecture and attractions from all over the country. Aside from the miniature sculptures, there is also a wonderful folk performance in the evening, showcasing the diverse ethnic culture dances of China. The night view of the buildings are also stunning and great for photos! Overall, I would suggest spending the whole day here, as the park is very big and there is endless places to explore! Shenzhen, historically known as Sham Chun which means deep drainage (literally), is ranked as the 6th most populous city in China referring to statistics for 2020-2021. We went to OCT (Overseas China Town), one of the most attractive areas for tourists. It's a very big park located next to the Windows of The World. OCT where we can see the miniature replica of some famous sites around China. We can just walk along and stop by to check the site one by one, the park also provides a ride if we get tired, it's not for free though. I think it's a good place to learn about Chinese history and culture, especially if you're accompanied by a travel guide that can explain about it. My friend said that would be good if we can stay until night for the night performance, sadly we need to leave earlier. Hopefully next time 😊 #chinatown #urbanexplorer

Myself and friends went to Splendid China for the day. It was a very hot day so we hired a buggy car (2 seater). Each car was 500RMB to hire but you were only allowed to take it out for 1 hour at a time, upon safe return of the vehicle we received 350RMB back- refunded. I would definitely recommend hiring the cart, even for an hour, particularly when doing around the miniature buildings of the great wall and the temples as it’s a long way to walk in the heat! After an hour we went in the boat ride (40RMB) , unfortunately we did crash into the wall (complete accident by the lady driving) 😂 but it was a nice 30 minute sit down, we got close to the waterfall which was nice to see. There wasn’t much to DO, more like things to SEE. If you’re looking for something to do on a cloudy day, I’d recommend going here once! #dayout #shenzhen #friends #themepark

But it's quite large inside, I recommend three spots to visit: Wind and Rain Bridge (featured image) The construction of this Wind and Rain Bridge is exactly like the one in the Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou!! It's filled with all sorts of beautiful lanterns, it's so stunning I'm shook Who can even tell the difference between a Miao village and Shenzhen And you can also take a boat ride nearby, touring a good half of Splendid China, it's truly romantic, It kind of gives you the feeling of being in Gusu Huizhou Street The area isn't very big, but it really resembles the Huizhou architecture seen in the Jiangnan region, especially suitable for sisters who like to take traditional Chinese photos. There are many small shops with various books and places like 'Yihongyuan' 'The road is long, dreams are many' You can also ride a mini train here Starlight Night Market This place has a different vibe from the two above, with the Potala Palace, Mogao Caves, and Dazu Rock Carvings.
