Located northeast of Takamatsu City, Shodo Island is the second largest island in the Seto Inland Sea, after Awaji Island. It is the birthplace of Japanese olive tree cultivation. On the Shodo island, there are attractions such as the Shodo Island Cultural Museum and the Shodo Island Olive Tree Park. The latter is more well-known and contains an olive tree garden, a herb garden, an olive tree museum, as well as other attractions. It is a popular sightseeing spot on the island.
