Jupiter's Temple

Split, Temple of Jupiter (Temple of Jupiter), the black marble Egyptian Sphinx statue at the door has been around for 3,500 years, but it has been "beheaded". In contrast, the Sphinx on the right side of the cathedral bell tower is intact.

The temple is the atrium of Diocletian Palace, surrounded by tall Roman columns, consisting of the Cathedral of St. Dominus and the bell tower of the attached church. The front hall is a circular hemispheric hall with a tall vault that has collapsed, leaving a circular dome hole. The noon sun came in through the dome, bringing infinite reverie.
