AMOK [Taste] is very suitable for us. There are also local characteristics [environment] A little hot, but the surroundings are the same [service] very warm and kind.
It can only be said to be at the level of food stalls. The dishes are relatively coarse and the taste is not bad. The price is expensive in terms of food stalls. The restaurant’s layout is quite distinctive and looks very lively. The service is fairly enthusiastic. You can try
The environment is very exotic. Maybe after dinner, there are only two tables of customers in the shop. The tableware and tablecloths are very Cambodian. It's awesome.
Amok is a seasoning, what I understand is curry. I ordered fish and chicken, and it was delicious with rice.
The main Southeast Asian spices are unique in flavor!
Perfect Cambodian style, once you enter the door, you see the bright tablecloth, feel the pattern on the wall is the same as the tablecloth, there are not many people, the location is very empty, you can order a platter, there is a little, plus a white rice, the salad is very good, there are quite a lot of shrimp meat, the indigo is not sour, the spring is very thin, The most satisfying dish roasted banana is very special, but it tastes a bit strange, eats more satisfied, but the price is not cheap.
Stopped off for a night in Kampong Thom and went here on the basis of TA reviews. Damn glad I did, had a top quality pizza with a thin crispy crust which far exceeded the other options in town as far as I can see. If you''re in Kampong Thom do go, you won''t regret it!
Just been in to Run Amok for the second time, and I''ll be back again at my next opportunity! I live in Cambodia and I had been meaning to call in for a while. I went the first time last month and I wish I had made the effort sooner. The burgers are fantastic!!! Best burger in Cambodia.
The restaurant is at Alley Street near Pub Street and with it''s cluster of restaurants, mostly European, it has quite a nice ambience and is a fantastic place to people watch. I ordered a prawn Amok, a traditional Cambodian cuisine with curry-based meat of your choose paired with rice.
The famous amok restaurant, in the same alley near the bar street as Knmer Kithchen, is a small two-story house, the dining environment is not bad, the whole restaurant and wallpaper are full of strong local flavor, and the restaurant’s service is also very warm . The restaurant is named after a traditional Khmer dish. Amok is a traditional Cambodian delicacy. Fish, chicken or beef is wrapped in leaves and steamed with coconut milk, curry powder, turmeric powder, lemongrass and other spices. The first one comes out is a big one, and the presentation is also very particular. Different amoks have different flags on them. There will be a small portion of rice next to it to avoid getting too tired. Amok is a typical Khmer dish. The flavor of various spices is not small and fresh, but it is not spicy. We also ordered the classic Cambodia Discovery, with spring rolls, rice, and some local spices like sauces and soups. Personally, I like salty, sour and sweet, so both are acceptable. The price will be a bit more expensive than normal, about $25-30, which can be paid in US dollars.
