This place was recommended to us but im not sure why, the service was extremely slow, it seemed that once our order was taken we took a back row to anyone that came in wanting a take away pizza, our starters took almost 45 minutes to arrive and during that time two chaps left with around 10 pizzas which explained our delay. The food was very basic, i ordered a meat platter having seen them in other restaurants and this was our last evening in Siena, when it arrived it was literally just 2 types of meat and 3 small pieces of cheese. Our waitress returned twice to say they were out of something or other so we had to change our minds, it felt like we had gone in as they were about to shut down after the weekend and we were left with the dregs of food. It wasnt that expensive and the food filled a hole but if you can find somewhere else near by then do.
My friend and I were here in October 2014 (I meant to write a review back then). We had been sightseeing and came upon this place. The place was empty and in fact, I think they were getting ready to close for the afternoon. No worries, the owner happily greeted us and served lunch. I ordered pasta Arrabiatta, which was very good. My friend had pizza. We both shared some house wine. About 11 euros each for lunch. Decent price good food, and friendly service.
6 of us dropped in for lunch and all ordered different pizzas. All were equally delicious and came in good time. I'd definitely come back :-) Thanks
The service in both Italian and English is charming. The pizze are very very average. Clearly the focus is on the tourist market. Two pizze and a bottle of mineral water €21.50 is outrageous.
The interior of the dining room is plain-colored tables and chairs, an open kitchen, concise and tidy, with meticulous details.
