Speaking of what Siena impressed me the most is Siena Cathedral, which is also one of the largest churches in Italy. It combines sculpture, oil painting and Roman Gothic architecture, built with black and white marble. A unique stripe shape similar to a zebra. To be honest, when I first saw it, I was really shocked. I have seen so many churches. For the first time, I saw the church with black and white marble as the exterior and interior decoration. It is super nice! It is said that the church part we are seeing is only a side door of the church that was planned to be built. If it was built according to the plan at the time, the church may become the largest church in the Christian world. But this plan was shelved because of the plague of 1348. The black and white stripes are the basic elements of the church. Among the treasures of this church are the sculptures of Nikola Pisano, Donatello and Michelangelo.
