Photos of Cathedral of the Archangel Michael

The Archangel Michael Cathedral is the first Orthodox church in the Black Sea region of Sochi. Construction began during the Caucasus War (1864) and was completed in 1890. Between 1929 and 1944, the church was closed due to wars and other reasons, and the exterior and interior were changed. In 1992-1994 the church was renovated and the original building façade was restored by architect Sochi FIAfuksenidi.
