Former Site of the Puppet Manchukuo State Department

The former site of the State Council of the Puppet Manchukuo is a national secondary key cultural relics protection unit. It was originally the office building of the General Affairs Office of the Puppet Manchukuo and the Senate. During the years when the Northeast was occupied, the State Council of the Puppet Manchukuo became an institution enslaved by the Japanese militarism in the Northeast. It is now the basic teaching building of Bethune Medical University. The shape of the old site and the Japanese Parliament Building of the same period are in the "Xingya" style, which has high historical, artistic and scientific value. The building's appearance is in the shape of a "mountain", with a tower-shaped roof. The main building has five floors, four floors on each of the two wings, and is 45 meters high. A statue of Bethune stands in front of the building. In the entrance hall, there are two square columns and four columns. The roof is covered with brown glazed tiles, and the exterior walls are veneered with brown tiles.
