Crossing the Death Strait is the most difficult day of the Antarctic expedition. When I wake up, it's about 1 o'clock. The ship's hull is shaking and there's nothing uncomfortable. Then I go to sleep at 5:30 and get up, go to the sixth floor, open the water, and see the beautiful scenery of the sea outside. Still heading south, I pass through the Drake Strait, a famous tunnel between the South American continent and the Antarctic Peninsula. Explore the white ocean that connects South America and Antarctica. In 1578, the famous British explorer, Francis Drake, sailed to this area, so he named it after his surname as a commemoration. Historically, this windy and roaring Strait has caused several ships to capsize on the sea floor. Known as the "killing westerly wind belt,"storm corridor,"devil channel,"is a veritable "death corridor "we cross the channel twice - "February 2, 2018, 8.3 am, 9.30 p.m., this day is not too big, the sky is wide, the scenery is beautiful. - "February 8, 2018, 2:00 am, about 3 p.m., this storm wave is a little big, I feel at noon on the 10th. I feel a little uncomfortable. I had chicken leg noodles for lunch, and half of them were left. To go to Antarctica, I had to cross the most ferocious Drake Strait in the world. Drake Strait refers to the waters between the South American continent and the Antarctic continent. It is also part of the Antarctic Ocean. It is about 600 kilometers wide and about 4000 meters deep. To go to Antarctica, you have to cross the Strait. However, this is not an easy journey. The Drake Strait is one of the most windy sea areas in the world. When the weather is worst in winter, the waves can reach tens of meters. Even now it is summer, the Drake Strait will not be calm, commonly known as "3 meters without wind and waves, 20 meters with wind and waves. "In addition to the impact of the monsoon, the relatively unique currents of the Antarctic Ocean make it more difficult to cross the Strait, even Captain Drake himself has not conquered the Strait. Hundreds of years ago, humans tried to explore the Antarctic many times. The reason for the failure was that the irascible Drake was not easy to conquer. Although our cruise ship is not small in tonnage, it has suffered a lot when crossing the strait. Half of the people are shaken too much. Everything on the ship needs to be fixed, otherwise it will "fly". Although I did not reflect much on the trip, I felt dizzy on the last day of my return trip, and I didn't eat much of my last meal.

Located between the southern tip of South America and the South Shetland Islands, the Drake Strait is 300 kilometers long and is the widest Strait in the world, with a width of 970 kilometers. To go to Antarctica, the most daunting thing is to cross the westerly belt of the Drake Strait, to get people, not to get people, or to get people ready to go. The westerly belt has become a hot topic for people to talk about in Antarctica. They dare not go to Antarctica to see if they can break through the physical and psychological barrier. So do we. In order to survive the westerly belt, at the doctor's request, everyone took a seasickness pill after dinner. My seasickness person dared not build this time, and took seasickness pills on time according to the doctor's instructions. 80% of the westerly wind zone will encounter typhoons, and we are no exception. When the strong wind blows, the boat rocks very badly. Sometimes it goes down, sometimes it goes left, sometimes it goes right. The sound of the waves is really frightening. My bed is in horizontal position. When rocking left and right, I often have the feeling of big head down. When rocking up and down, I roll left and right again. In a word, it is not too much to use "coal-shaking ball" to describe it. It is said that at that time, the wind reached 12 grades, and the wind speed was 30 kilometers per second. A large ship with more than 6,000 tons swayed about 14 degrees. If it were a small ship, it would be miserable. It's the first time in my life that I've experienced such a big storm. At seven o'clock in the morning, I was woken up on time by the ship's radio. At first sight, the things on the desktop rolled down all over the floor, but fortunately they didn't hit anybody. When we staggered to the restaurant, we saw that more than half of the group were missing. The people who ate were like astronauts with no center of gravity. From time to time, we heard the sound of cups and plates falling on the ground. Everyone looked at each other and laughed. It was no fun. Yuan said that the hero who could eat in the restaurant today was the hero. Ah, I became a hero today.

The Drake Strait is the first Strait on the way to Antarctica from Port Ushuaia, Argentina. The Strait is very wide, and there are snowy mountains on both sides of the sea. Occasionally, the icebergs floating on the sea are seen by boats. Everything here seems very empty. Occasionally, whales come and go here, which adds a lot of pleasure and surprise to everyone's journey.

The Drake Strait is the first Strait through which Ushuaia, Argentina, sets off for Antarctica. It can be said to be the gateway to the Antarctic continent. The Straits are very wide. The two sides are not ice and snow. Although there are snow mountains, they are also very green and beautiful.

The legendary devil westerly belt Drake Strait does make us feel its power. The third and fourth waves are not the largest. You can feel the sound of the boat, when you eat, you can hear all kinds of dishes smashing and hahaha, but now it's also very good to recall.

It's worth going. Once in a lifetime, it's worth going to the South Pole. Next time, it's going to the North Pole.

At the confluence of two ocean currents, there are dangerous, high waves, frequent earthquakes and tsunamis. At the beginning, we went to the Antarctic Peninsula by boat Ushuaia. Originally, the boat had been tossed for five days and five nights at sea, vomiting quickly lost its will. Many people wanted to jump into the sea and commit suicide. The captain opened the boat in a zigzag shape, swaying left and right, unable to sleep, unable to stand, and unable to go. Restaurant, when we see penguins on Antarctic islands and mountains, we are like refugees.

The powerful Devil Westerly Belt, the only way from South America to Antarctica, even the big mattress of Rolls-Royce in our so-called Polar Exploration Vessel, is moving with great waves. The restaurants upstairs are not open when crossing the Strait. The restaurants on the second floor are like eating in a water tank. It is said that the seabirds on the Antarctic side of the sea are much less than those on the Arctic side of the Svalbard Islands.

The Drake Strait lies between the South End of South America and the South Shetland Islands. Because of the cold climate near the Antarctic, it must be well prepared to come here. The wind and waves are very strong and the boat is very bumpy, but the scenery here is really beautiful.

To go to Antarctica, the first pass is to cross the Drake Channel, which is known as the "Devil Channel", "Death Corridor", the ship company's work is in place, the bedding equipment is very ordinary, but clean, neat, very satisfactory to me. I live on the 5th floor, next to the conference room and the leisure room. I can read books and chat. On the 6th floor, there are decks, cabs and cafes, bars. The third floor is the landing preparation room + snack bar (selling some souvenirs on board) and restaurant. The first floor is a larger conference room. It feels mysterious, but it's really shocking.
