Purple France. Romain Rowland once said: "The French are romantic because they have Provence." When you see such a lavender field full of passion, how can you not deeply agree with this subjective sentence? If we say that we are yearning for the Provence country life in Peter Mayer's writings, it is better to say that we are for that romantic purple flower sea.
Nice short walk, which is duckboarded over the wettest part now. Steps are uneven, but worth the effort.
15 minutes return, just off the main road was the suspension bridge. Enough of a walk for us, but you can walk all the way to the top if you wish.
A terrible unkempt path to an amazing swing bridge over the Franklin. Quite wet under foot. Glad we made the effort.
This is a nice shot walk though it’s also on route to some major multi day walks and we spotted several whom were all kitted out. The suspension bridge is a highlight.
