Geirangerfjord is located in the north of Bergen on the southwest coast of Norway. It is a very beautiful and mysterious place in the Norwegian fjords. The fjord is 16 kilometers long, with mountains over 1,500 meters above sea level standing on both sides. The Geirangerfjord is known for its many waterfalls, such as "The Groom's Veil" and "The Seven Sisters", cascading down steep rock faces into the fjord. At the top of the fjord is the village of Geiranger, which is only accessible by a 1,000-meter-long road that winds down the hillside. Many tourists come to vacation on foot in summer. In addition to the Geiranger Fjord Church built in 1842 in the village, there are also the Fridals Uwe Observatory frequented by photographers and the Dalsniba Observatory at an altitude of 1,500 meters. Nearby attractions are the Brixdal Glacier. Because of the Geiranger Fjord, the village of Geiranger has become a must-see for holiday tourists, especially in summer, tourists come on foot in an endless stream. Here you can see the Geiranger Church, built in 1842, and climb the Dalsniba observation deck to overlook the fjord valley. Brixdal Bryn Glacier This is one of the branches of the Bryn Glacier in Europe, from the village of Olden in Geiranger to the chalet of the Brixdal Bryn Glacier at the entrance of the glacier. Then walk or ride from the chalet to the other side of the glacier to see the waterfall. Alesund is a small town in the west of the island bordering the fjord and has a history dating back to the days of pirates. The town had a strong fishing industry in the mid-18th century, and now it mainly exports high-quality salmon and cod. The town was rebuilt in the 19th century, and today many of the buildings here exude beautiful French art.
