Lianchi Temple

Lianchi Temple is located in the ancient town of Jinxi, Kunshan, Jiangsu, across the lake from Chen Feishuiyu. It is said that Song Xiaozong built it to commemorate Chen Fei. Although the Temple has a long history, due to the repeated wastes and construction, the current buildings are mostly modern reconstruction.

The Buddhist courtyard in Jinxi Ancient Town is on the edge of the ancient lotus bridge. When I first went there, because my eyes were focused on the bridge, I missed this quiet Buddhist courtyard. The backyard is large and there is a large view to the Chen Feishui. The viewing angle is wide to avoid noise and noise. At the same time, you can also watch the ancient lotus bridge up close. When you are free, copying a passage in the Zen courtyard is a good experience!

In the bustling city of Jinxi Ancient Town, there is a cool and pure land in which Jinxi Lianchi Temple is located! The Temple is built by Song Jiatai Zhongxiaozong to commemorate the death of Chen's wife who was buried here, and sent monks to guard the incense. The Buddhist temple is built near Wubao Lake, and the lake is not far from the Chenfei Water Pool.

Lianchi Temple is located on the bank of Wubao Lake in the south of Jinxi Town. It was built in the Southern Song Dynasty and covers an area of 5111 ㎡ and a total construction area of 1400 ㎡.
