Green Park is located opposite St. Vincent's Hospital. In the northeast corner of Green Park, there is a monument to the late famous Chinese cardiac surgeon Dr. Zhang Renqian. Looking down from the air, the whole monument site is in the shape of a heart. On the edge of the heart, beside the grassland on the hillside, there is an arc stone wall, which is like a barrier to protect the heart. It symbolizes Dr. Zhang Renqian's dedication to protecting the heart, an important organ of human beings. Unfortunately, on July 4, 1991, Dr. Zhang Renqian was shot in the head by gangsters in the outskirts of Sydney and died instantly. In the upper left corner of the stele wall is a relief of Dr. Zhang Renqian's head, with three pages on the right, engraved with her daughter Vanessa's article of missing her father. The whole monument covers a small area, with 1936-1991 engraved on the ground and the English characters in memory of cardiac surgeon Zhang Renqian. Dr. Zhang Renqian was only 55 years old when he was killed, which was the golden age of surgeons. In the center of the monument, there is an exquisite square open cast iron pavilion, which is an ordinary tap water pool. Some Chinese tourists think its implication is very profound, which reminds people of the Chinese idiom "Drinking Water Thinks Source". In my opinion, this design concept is similar to the commemorative seats we often see in Australian jungle trails, nature reserves and public places.
