Sawmillers Reserve located near the famous Blues Point Reserve, home to a former sawmill and several port shipyards. Although this is a small reserve, it has beautiful harbour views and sun and shade. You can enter through the Munro St side (near the Noakes shipyard) or West Crescent St.

Sawmillers Reserve located near the famous Blues Point Reserve, home to a former sawmill and several port shipyards. Although this is a small reserve, it has beautiful harbour views and sun and shade. You can enter through the Munro St side (near the Noakes shipyard) or West Crescent St.
It was great to stroll around this park and read the signs that illustrate the industrial history of the area. Designer Harry Howard (Harry Howard) did a great job. Very quiet place and well maintained. Make sure you walk down and see the wreckage. There are lots of places to sit and watch work. If you are hungry, there are many restaurants nearby. You will encounter few steps along the way, but I recommend continuing along the coast to the coal-loader that has been magnificently restored.
