About The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney

Located in the heart of the city, the Royal Botanic Garden is within walking distance to the south of the Sydney Opera House. There are lots of blue cherries, gardenias, etc. in the Rose Garden. The iconic building - Sydney Tropical Centre is located at the south of the Garden. Its exterior glasshouse is ultra-modern. In the Botanic Garden, you can look out over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House in the distance, which combines together to form one of Sydney's most prestigious views. And this is the perfect spot to take Sydney's iconic photos.

Sydney's Royal Botanical Garden is the best place to shoot the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Bridge on the U-shaped bend of Sydney Harbour. In the adjacent sea area, there are rocks and waves, yachts and speedboats are busy and happy, and waves are set up. The buildings on the other side are clearly presented. Turn around and walk in. Flowers in the botanical garden are blooming and enchanting in the green world.

The Sydney Opera House and Bridge are very beautiful and occasionally pigeons fly to keep you away from the noisy botanical gardens of the city. The best time to take pictures is around 10 a.m., because the light is very good.

This is one of my favorite botanic gardens in the world. There's a great little kiosk near the Macquarie Street Gate, close to Conservatorium Rd. You can buy a milkshake or coffee, then walk into the gardens and wander. Will be hard to miss the amazing bats, hanging everywhere, trying to sleep during the day!

I loved wandering the many trails of the botanic garden. You get great views, can delight in the plantings, and stretch out a bit. Warning: do not walk under the trees that are full of flying foxes. Trust me. The RBG is trying to evict them, but success is iffy.

Celebrating its 200th anniversary in 2016, there are several entrances to this large property in the city, so this is a pleasant place to walk to get from point A to point B, within the city. Although the park is free and open to the public, there are special exhibits requiring paid admission. There are fountains, sculptures, a large variety of trees, plants and flowers. There are two restaurants, a cafe, a garden shop, a little train (for a fee) and venues for private events on site.

A very short walk from the gorgeous Sydney Opera house, the Royal Botanic Gardens is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and return to nature. Filled with beautiful Australian foliage, quaint walking paths, and 74 acres of vegetation, its a perfect place to do some thinking, play a sport, walk with a loved one, have a picnic, do some writing, and learn about native Australian flora and fauna.
