Mount Tai / Taishan Steps and steps
We climbed Taishan in January the temperature was cold especially at the top of the mountain. We climbed the route from the Red gate/ Hongmen gate this took us around 2:45hrs to reach the top with some small breaks along the way. Once at the top there is load of great view points and options for food. There is around 7000 steps up to the top but then we got the cable car and the bus back down.#newyearadventure #mountainview

Mount Tai - Visiting area and mid point
#passionpassport
Besides historic relics, this mountain boasts unique natural scenery too. The lofty peaks, deep valleys, spectacular waterfalls, enchanting rocks and the centuries-old pines and cypresses will undoubtedly encourage you linger with no thought of leaving. The four wonders here are Sunrises from the East, the Sunset Glow, the Sea of Clouds and the Golden Belt along the Yellow River. It would be a great pity to miss the four wonders. We went there on New Year evening to see sunrise. It got very cold on the top so wear accordingly. #passionpassport #beautifuldestinations #travelinspiration #traveladdict

Dai Temple Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Spring outing to Dai Temple
"The profuse branches make it easy for the flowers to fall in abundance, while the tender buds negotiate to bloom delicately." Suddenly, the spring blossoms have already bloomed in clusters, filling the branches. Following the footsteps of the season, wandering through the temple, with the east wind guiding and the spring sun conveying warmth, a turn around, and you encounter the garden full of blooming flowers.

Just came down from Mount Tai and visited Dai Temple|||I really love Tai'an!
|||I really love Tai'an!.
People in Tai'an are also very welcoming ahhhhhh
Very warm and down-to-earth
🚗Ride-hailing services here are very cheap
I took them for two days and never spent more than 12 yuan!
🍱If you like food, there's an underground food court right below Tai'an Station
You can go and take a look
There's a lot of food and it's all inexpensive
🚞I arrived at Tai'an Station by train
Then I started to climb at night
After coming down the mountain the next day, I visited Dai Temple!
You must visit Dai Temple!!!
And I bought a lot of trinkets
Like the Tai Mountain stones, I bought a whole bag!
All for less than a hundred yuan!
They are the big Tai Mountain stones, not the small ones
I bought them from a small shop right across the South Gate (see pictures 12, 13)
The owner is an auntie! She's very nice
She will pack everything you buy into little boxes, one by one
🌮
And the food!
Food in Tai'an is delicious, inexpensive, and comes in large portions!! (Except in the scenic area)
It's just too hot, with temperatures from 33 to 37 degrees during the day
If you plan to climb Mount Tai, I suggest doing it in the evening or at night
Otherwise, it's really too hot!

Springtime Guide to Photographing and Admiring Flowers at Dai Temple
Pass through the Zhongyang Gate (South Gate) to enter Dai Temple, where on the east side at the base of the wall, there are several lilacs that are not very tall, but have unique flower shapes. The flowers are plump and round, either heart-shaped or resembling chubby snowmen.
Right next to the wall, in the flowerbeds, peonies are planted, with their bright and beautiful colors; while on the west side, the flowerbeds are home to the noble peony, with its various flower shapes competing in splendor.
Along the road connecting Hanbaiyuan and Tanghuaiyuan, peach blossoms are planted on both sides, blooming so radiantly that they captivate the soul; and separating the flowerbeds from the road are the stick-tight crabapples, with clusters of bright red flowers hidden among the green branches, almost invisible from afar, only to reveal their splendor upon closer inspection.
On both sides of the Peitian Gate, there are several purple magnolias, almost the earliest blooming flowers in Dai Temple, blooming before the green leaves, heralding the arrival of spring; in front of the gate, two large white lilacs, when in bloom, waft their fragrance through the air.
From Peitian Gate to Ren'an Gate on both sides, there are two fish ponds with round and plump koi, surrounded by several cherry trees. When the flowers bloom, the spring breeze is gentle, and the branches sway, intoxicating those who see them.
Next to the side hall on the west side of Ren'an Gate, there are also two green hydrangeas, which are a feast for the eyes when in bloom.
On the corridors on both sides of the Houqin Palace, quiet wisteria covers the area, with its vines winding gracefully, an indescribable beauty.
By the red walls, the winter plum blossoms, stubbornly blooming their last bit of stunning beauty, emit a unique fragrance. And then there are the rehmannias blooming on the wall tops and in the nooks and crannies, making one marvel at the brilliance of spring. Not to mention the greenhouse flowerbeds inside the Houzai Gate (North Gate) on the west side, adorned with hibiscus, tassels, longevity flowers, water lilies, and more.

At the foot of Mount Tai, the Dai Temple is adorned with flowers like brocade, and the garden is full of spring colors, making it a must-visit spot in spring
Within the thousand-year-old Dai Temple, flowers compete in beauty, plants grow wildly, swallows murmur, and willow branches sway gracefully, creating a scene brimming with life and splendor.
Strolling slowly through the temple paved with blue bricks, accompanied by the gentle breeze, basking in the sunshine, and blending with the unique beauty, one can immerse themselves in the exquisitely romantic scenery of spring.

Spring days are fleeting, so hurry up and invite your family and friends to embrace the spring at Mount Tai while the cherry blossoms are in bloom
"The flowers bloom early to seize the spring light, with snow-like petals and clouds adorning the lightness of thousands of calyxes. When the dazzling beauty is first illuminated by the sun, the falling petals are frequent where the oriole is newly heard." It's another year of blossoming, and under the caress of the spring breeze, the cherry garden at Mount Tai presents a beautiful spring scene of blooming cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms compete to bloom in the spring light, with clouds steaming and rosy clouds, displaying thousands of charming and alluring beauties, too beautiful for words. The most beautiful April days on earth
At the current Heavenly Gate in Mount Tai, the spring is bright and full of life, with apricot blossoms, forsythia, and mountain peach flowers blooming in succession.
Yellow, pink, white...
Bathed in the warm sun and set against the blue sky, the flowers bloom in the wind. Their beauty is captivating, the fragrant breeze is refreshing, and the experience under the flowers is indescribably wonderful.
There are still tickets available this morning, so hurry up and catch the tail end of the holiday to have some fun~

Meet spring in the Taishan Cherry Garden, meet a better you
March in the sunny spring, the scenery is splendid. The cherry blossoms in the Taishan Cherry Garden are blooming passionately, like a snowfall in the spring day.
The pink and white cherry blossoms, cluster by cluster, densely packed buds stand on the branches, stretching their flowers in the embrace of spring. The petals blown off by the wind scatter all over, just like a cherry blossom rain!
On the path of red and pink, the spring becomes richer, follow the guidance of the flowers into Taishan, to appreciate the magic of nature. Listen quietly to the sound of the flowers blooming, feel the rhythm of life. Strolling through the mountains, with the spring flowers in full bloom, the poetry is abundant, this is probably the charm of spring.

Exploring Taishan Mountain, Shandong - n.4:

Hiking Mount Tai to watch the sunset🌅 5h round trip climbing➕photography strategy📷
Stop climbing at night!!!
It's really not cold climbing Mount Tai during the day in winter!
You can save on accommodation fees at the summit without suffering!
As a woman who grew up in the Qinling Mountains, I adhere to the principle and spirit of hiking up and down. I put on full makeup, ran fast, and managed to climb, take photos, and save time without missing a beat🥰 (Friends with bad knees should not imitate me)
⌚️My climbing time:
Arrived at the Hongmen climbing entrance at 13:00, reached Zhongtianmen at 14:30, Nantianmen at 16:00, and Yuhuangding at 16:30 to wait for the sunset
🕙It took about 3.5h to climb up and 1.5h to climb down
🎫Tickets:
Adults 115 (ID required)
Students 57 (ID➕student ID or information from the student network required)
Seniors over 60 free (ID required)
🧤Some personal experiences after climbing:
1. The prices in Mount Tai are really friendly, at most 1-3 yuan higher than in the city area (if it's too expensive, don't buy it), there are food and water sellers every short distance, and there is a 711 in the scenic area, and surprisingly a KFC halfway up the mountain
2. Mount Tai scenic area is now equipped with ground lights, so friends who climb at night or worry about it getting dark when descending no longer need to bring headlamps and flashlights
3. If you're afraid of getting tired, try to go light. There are shared power banks along the way in the scenic area (10💰/hour), and there is a luggage storage at the Hongmen entrance
4. The best spot to watch the sunset is at Yuhuangding
5. For clothing👟hiking shoes➕quick-dry base layer➕fleece/plus velvet hoodie➕shell jacket, I also brought a down liner, it's not cold at all climbing during the day, I only put on the hard shell jacket after passing Nantianmen, and wore the down jacket after reaching the summit
6. Other items, such as gloves, hats, and hiking poles, I suggest bringing them. The wind is very strong at the summit, and hiking poles are more useful when descending
👀Lazy person's route:
If you just want to climb the mountain easily and enjoy the scenery, you can take a bus🚌➡to Zhongtianmen (one-way 35💰)➡️take the cable car from Zhongtianmen (one-way 100💰)➡️arrive at Nantianmen➡️walk to Tianjie, Yuhuangding to enjoy the view➡️then return the same way
However, please note that the cable car seems to stop running at 17:30, and the bus should be around 20:30, so please arrange your time accordingly

Mount Tai Scenic Tour (Part One)
Third day of the trip to Shandong.
Arrived at Tianwai Village in Mount Tai Scenic Area at 1 p.m. Looking up, the Dai Yue is majestic and magnificent, the mountain is majestic and steady, the peaks of the mountain top are undulating, and the faint clouds are lingering. The cliffs and cliffs of the mountain waist are crisscrossed, and the huge rocks and pines stand tall. The buildings in the mountains are faintly visible, quiet and mysterious. Take the scenic bus to Zhongtianmen, and then take the cable car directly to Nantianmen. Although there is less fun of climbing for a long time, some beautiful scenic spots are missed, but it saves time and retains physical strength. For couples like us who are not good at walking, it is also a loss and a gain. After all, the most beautiful scenery is on the dangerous peak, isn't it?
Out of the cableway, Bentian Street. The begonia flowers all over the mountains and plains have already drunk the tourists. The begonia trees in Mount Tai are mostly distributed on slopes above one kilometer, and there are more and denser ones on the top of the mountain. The timing is just right, above Nantianmen, the begonia flowers on the mountain are blooming wantonly, in clusters, layers, and trees. The wind sways the flower branches, the flowers are either white or pink, under the green leaves on the branches, they are graceful and fragrant, arousing the romantic feelings of tourists. The pines of Mount Tai are also fascinating, either popping out of the sea of flowers, growing in rock crevices, or standing in front of palaces, temples, and temples. The needles are dark green, and the trunks are vigorous. Adding vitality to Mount Tai, there are also many eye-catching but unknown flowers, plants and trees, widely planted in the mountains and fields, dazzling and charming.
In fact, the rocks of Mount Tai are the soul of Mount Tai. The Tai Shan conglomerate, which was formed about 2.5 billion years ago, is one of the oldest strata in China. On the stone cliffs on the side of the mountain road, you can often see the inscriptions marking the names and formation years of the mountains and rocks. Many rocks are 600 million years, 700 million years, or even 2.1 billion years old, which makes me sigh at the shortness of life. It is said that there are more than 1,000 cliff carvings in Mount Tai, most of which were left by literati and scholars of the past dynasties, and some of the emperors' inscriptions and inscriptions are carved on them. Mount Tai provides precious resources for important disciplines such as the study of the earth's geology, Chinese history and culture, and plant growth distribution. On the top of the mountain, the red cliffs of Daguan Peak are magnificent and spectacular, and the texture and color are first-class. Among them, there is a huge rock that is like a mountain top, standing tens of meters high, with the "Record of Mount Tai" engraved in the thirteenth year of Kaiyuan of Tang Xuanzong. The whole book is carved in regular script on the entire cliff, which is spectacular and has great artistic appreciation and historical research value.
The Zhanlu Terrace on the top of the mountain is the best perspective to appreciate the natural beauty of Mount Tai. This platform is a vertical cliff on three sides, with a wide view, overlooking the mountains and rivers, and a sense of heroism arises. But seeing the cliffs of ten thousand feet, the mountain tops are lined with trees, the strange rocks are rugged, either sharp or smooth and bright, the stone color is either green and white, or white and yellow, the green pines and green grass are dotted among the stones, quite like the cliffs of Huangshan, its natural and primitive appearance is memorable. On the top of the mountain, you can see all directions, see the entire Tai'an city, look at the rivers of the Qilu Plain, and take in all the weather. When the sun is about to set, the remaining clouds in the west begin to turn red, slowly deepening to light red, the light beams scatter through the clouds into the sky, the distant mountains and the horizon form a magnificent scene, which is very shocking. We were fortunate to see a spectacular sunset.
When I returned to the Yunnao Hotel next to Tianjie, it was already dark. The wind started on the mountain and the temperature dropped. The waiter informed the two of us that there will be a local guide to take the guests to watch the sunrise tomorrow morning. After renting two cotton coats, I went back to the room to sleep early, ready to welcome tomorrow's sun.

Mount Tai during the Spring Festival‖Summary
There were too many people visiting Mount Tai during the Spring Festival, so it's necessary to have a good mentality, be well prepared, and go with determination to have fun!
Pros:
Mount Tai, as the most prestigious of the Five Great Mountains, is still beautiful in winter, with fresh air, numerous strange rocks, and the scent of the forest.
Bad experiences:
1. In the evening, from Quancheng to Tai'an, we booked Hilton Hompton, but were told that the room could not be cleaned up. They could help us change to a nearby hotel. The operation took nearly an hour. The new hotel was newly renovated, the hardware was good, but the smell in the room was too strong.
2. The Mount Tai scenic area is already very standardized, but the details are really hard to describe. Because there were so many people, we couldn't check in at all the scenic spots. When we arrived at the South Heaven Gate, we found a snack street, which ruined the original taste of Mount Tai. There was a lot of garbage thrown by the crowd, and the environment was damaged (angry). There were quite a few restrooms, but the smell and environment were not like those of a major scenic area.
3. The emergency management of large crowds is not in place. Children and adults were separated, and there was ice and snow on the way down the mountain, causing pedestrians to fall. There was a lack of staff to divert the flow.
Lucky things:
1. Although the hotel was not satisfactory, the service was impeccable. They had slippers for children, and the details were good. We told the front desk that we were going to climb the mountain. Although it was not mealtime, they let us have breakfast. The breakfast was very rich, and we felt warm and full.
2. We didn't play with the crowd on the top of Mount Tai. We walked from Guanlu Platform to the back mountain and reached the top of Jade Emperor. There were no crowds, and we saw many strange rocks and could appreciate them quietly. That was the most relaxed and happy part of the journey.
3. Although we wanted to avoid the crowd and enter the mountain from Taohua Valley, our family still wanted to enter from Tianwai Mountain. Without thinking too much, we took the cable car to the top of the mountain in 10 minutes, which saved time for sightseeing.
4. We parked in a different way, parking around the residents. As soon as we got off the car, we met an old man selling old climbing sticks. Three for 10 yuan, which helped a lot when we went down the mountain.
5. We walked down to the Zhongtianmen Passenger Station for more than two hours. It was too congested, we had no mood to enjoy the scenery, and people were littering. We were very discouraged... Fortunately, we persisted in walking down the mountain. When we didn't have to go down the stairs, our family's mood improved. Looking back at the South Heaven Gate, it was still very shocking.
Suggestions:
1. Get up early, try to enter the mountain at 6 o'clock, especially with children. Make sure to eat warm and healthy food, so you don't have to look for a toilet all the way. If you encounter congestion, it's hard to go to the toilet...
2. It's windy on the mountain, so wear a climbing scarf, hat, and windbreaker. Shoes must be non-slip and soft-soled.
3. Bring some water and food. There's no shortage of things on the mountain, but it's really annoying to queue up when there are many people.
4. Keep to the right when going up and down the mountain. The shady places are slippery, so be careful and don't rush.
5. Women and children must bring disinfectant wipes and wet wipes, otherwise they will be at a loss when eating.
6. At noon, the snow begins to melt, and there will be mud on the ground. Some of it is ice underneath. Don't let children step on the water, they might fall.

The surging sea of clouds, the rising sun in the east, and the crystal-clear rime, Mount Tai clad in silver once again amazes from all directions~
At dawn, the sun slowly rises over the mountains, the sea of clouds tumbles wantonly under the morning light, the pine needles are coated with pristine icicles, and the branches are adorned with silver flowers, twinkling in the morning glow, adding an icy and pure elegance to this originally majestic and magnificent scenery.

Mount Tai is covered in snow, as beautiful as an ink painting
A good harvest is indicated by heavy snow, and all things come to life when the snow falls. A snowfall quietly decorates Mount Tai into a silver world, where rocks, ancient buildings, and pines and cypresses are silent and magnificent in the snow world. The heavy snow is pouring down, like the spirits falling into Mount Tai. After the snow, Mount Tai, under the cover of fog and white snow, is like a quiet and beautiful ink painting. Mount Tai's beautiful scenery is waiting for you!!!
👍Most recommended: Mount Tai is famous for its magnificent scenery. The stacked mountains, heavy bodies, the contrast of green pines and huge rocks, the changes of clouds and mists, make it both magnificent and bright, quiet and mysterious, becoming the culmination of China's famous mountains and rivers.
