每次去台中有時間都會去忠孝路夜市覓食，東西便宜，亦有不少美吃，例如豆花，魷魚咀面線，臭豆腐等，在地居民來吃佔多數，很有地道風味。

这个夜市离车站有点远，公交车下来走了十五分钟左右，没有艋钾夜市这么的热闹，不过吃的东西比较便宜，看到人多排队的基本上味道都不会差。

来台湾的第二天，晚上入住酒店前，听导游说忠孝路夜市离我们住的旅店很近，所以我们放下行李，就马不停蹄的赶往夜市。忠孝路夜市位于民意街至正义街之间，早先是为因应中兴大学及附近工厂外食人口，而聚集形成的宵夜市集，发展至今，已有不少慕名而来的食客。夜市里小吃品种有许多，有筒仔米糕、盐酥鸡、忠孝烤肉、牛排、面线糊、臭豆腐、蛋包饭等等。另外还有赫赫有名的蔡家豆花店，平常店里门庭若市，常常都是客满。他们家的花生豆花，口感滑嫩，花生仁烂而不糊，深具口碑。哈哈，我们进去每人买了一碗喝，味道的确不错。
