Shilin Night Market is the one of the largest night markets in Taipei. The market is centered on Yangming Theater and Cicheng Temple. It is reachable via Jiantan Station and not much different from China Town.
One of the most recommended night market to experience once you visit Taipei! I went here on my first night after visiting Yangmingshan because I needed to fuel up my stomach with the foods that is a must try to eat when in Taipei. Shihlin Night Market is the biggest night market in Taiwan. Located Near train station. If you are a food lover, this is the best night market for you.
I was very excited to go to Shilin Night Market, because I was excited to finally shop in Taiwan. But, when I went there, I found out that my expectations of a night market is quite wrong. I actually thought it is the same as the Night Markets in Hong Kong or in Bangkok, but it wasn't. It doesn't have a lot of Shopping Stores. Shilin Night Market, on the other hand, has a lot of Games, such as those in the pictures. They also have a lot of Street Foods around. Many stores sell fruits and Taiwanese delicacies. Also, I found a couple of stores selling souvenirs. Well overall, it was still a great visit. I was able to buy a lot of souvenirs and food.
