English friendly shrine
Beautiful shrine with Japanese architecture. There's an English manual which explains how to do when you visit the shrine. They also has a service for wedding ceremony arrengment.
Built during the Taiho era, it is a prestigious shrine that has a long history of Nagoya. Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Ieyasu Tokugawa, and then the Owari Tokugawa family have been revered and protected 々. The East approach lined with many lanterns dedicated. It seems that preparations for the Wakamiya Festival, which will be held on 5 Moon 15 Day 16 Day, are proceeding with 々. 300 Wakamiya Festival, which has a history of years, is one of the three major festivals in Nagoya. It is a grand festival where the performance of the Mikoshi Watari, the Yamashiro hohiki, and the karakuri doll is performed.
I didn't know if I could use the parking lot in the precincts, so I used the private toll parking lot in the surrounding area. The precincts are not so big, but I feel that the layout is relaxing or wide. Foreign tourists also came. The woman at the shrine office was very kind and kindly responded to the red stamp. There are many places to pray, so spare time and money. The toilet is located in the back of the front desk on the floor of the guest house 1 next to the office. Of course it's super beautiful! !! History ... because it's related to the Tokugawa family.
About 5 minutes walk from Yaba Town Subway I stopped by before going to the Aichi Prefectural Art Theater. It's along the main street, but when you enter, it's very quiet and the air feels different. There were 3 types of red stamps. It is marriage and Tanabata with Wakamiya Hachimansha. It seems to change depending on the season.
According to the company legend, it was founded in Nakono Shokin Market during the period of Emperor Monmu (697~707 year). 1600 In the year, when Ieyasu Tokugawa built Nagoya Castle, it was relocated to its current location and was designated as the general guardian of Nagoya. It faces Wakamiya-dori, which is crowded with traffic, but it is surrounded by a surprisingly quiet and solemn atmosphere. The wind chime festival is held in the summer, and the precincts are filled with cool sounds.
