Canal Museum

As an important city along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Liaocheng has its rationality to establish the "China Canal Culture Museum". The site is located at the north gate of the ancient city of the water, and it continues to be about one kilometer north. Visitors need to enter the museum from the west gate. The main exhibition hall is on the 3rd floor and there is also a part of the 4th floor. Habitually compare this museum with Yangzhou's "China Grand Canal Museum", the richness of the collection is obviously higher in Yangzhou. The layout of the exhibits is reasonable, but there is no explanation service, no electronic guide rental, and there is a lot of room for improvement in the service.

The museum has five floors, and the lobby on the first floor is a huge sand pan across the city of Liaocheng. It can fully understand the water in Liaocheng City, the water in the city, and the city's water dependency on the city style. The two theme exhibition halls of Canal Culture and Liaocheng History are concentrated on the second and third floors. The three exhibition halls on the second floor are Canal Culture Exhibitions, which introduce the Liaocheng Canal, China Canal, World Canal, and the third floor is Liaocheng Historical and Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall.

Shandong Liaocheng is one of the areas that got the benefits of the canal and was affected by the canal earlier. The Huitong River in the Yuan Dynasty penetrated the hinterland of Liaocheng, and later was known as the throat of the squat, the elbow of the heavens, and the city of Jiangbei.

Tickets for the China Canal Culture Museum are free (access tickets with ID card). The lunch break is a bit long. Stop at 11 o'clock and open at 2:00 pm. We arrived at the museum at noon and had to find a cafe outside for lunch and rest. The China Canal Culture Museum is large in scale. The appearance is a bit cool, the three sides are similar, and there is Mr. Fei Xiaotong's name. There is a huge Grand Canal sand pan in the middle of the first floor. There are stairs or sightseeing elevators to reach the 2-4 floor. We focused on the second floor of the canal culture series and the third floor of the "Liaocheng historical relics exhibition". Specific exhibition halls: World Canal Exhibition Hall, China Canal Exhibition Hall, Shandong Canal Exhibition Hall, Liaocheng Canal Exhibition Hall and Liaocheng historical relics Exhibition Hall. The collection of cultural relics is comprehensive and rich, and I took a big lesson in the science of the world canal, and I have gained a lot.

Come to Liaocheng for the first time in three years. I learned about the cultural history of the canal and watched the video of 4K. It feels good and worth seeing.
